Health Services
Clients' personal care and daily living requirements, including walking, eating, personal hygiene, and grooming, will be fulfilled based on their individual care plan, age, and abilities. Within the program, clients have the flexibility to design their own schedule, whether for a full or half day, and select the days they prefer to attend.
Activities
The program will provide a variety of activities for clients to participate in, including but not limited to community outings, holiday parties, exercise sessions, games, discussions on current events, music and dance, arts and crafts, computer training, and access to a multilingual library.
Respite
The ABBA ADHC will offer respite care to those who are unable to perform self-care independently on a short-term basis due to the absence of their regular caregivers) or the need for relief.
Therapy
The ABBA ADHC aims to help individuals achieve their highest level of functioning by offering occupational and physical therapy services. Professional agencies, referred by the client's primary care physician, may be subcontracted to provide these services.
Social Skill Training, Healthy Lifestyle Development, etc.:
The scheduled recreational and physical activities will be tailored to each client's care plan, age, ability, and cultural background.
Nursing Services
The nursing services at the facility will be overseen by registered nurses, who will also administer medication as needed. The nursing staff will be trained in CPR and First AID to provide emergency services, and in the event of an emergency, clients will first be treated on-site before being transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Each client will have a personalized care plan, as ordered by their physician, to ensure that their daily health and personal care needs are met promptly and safely. Medication and medical records will be kept secure in an in-house station, and the facility will follow universal precautions for infection control, as mandated by KY state regulations.
